CASA is the voice for children in foster care. Initial training takes 30 hours which is broken up into several different activities, not straight class time. Once training is complete the volunteer is sworn in by our local judge and assigned a child. Most volunteers spend 1-2 hours a month checking in on their child and you can schedule visits around your usual routine. There is roughly 720 hours in a month.
