Scott County Farmers Market in Now a Reality
On September 24, 2008 a small group came together for a meeting at the Scott County Heritage Center/Train Depot to discuss the possibility of starting an Agribusiness Committee.
For several years, the Scott County Chamber of Commerce has had as part of its mission statement “to promote” agriculture” but little was being done. It was time to act, and that is exactly what has happened.
The Scott County Farmers Market is now a reality with vendors coming together at the parking lot located at 90 N. Main Street in Scottsburg selling locally grown produce.
The hours are: Tuesday – 8 a.m. – 12 Noon
Thursday – 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday – 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
